Complimentary wireless internet is available in guestrooms and throughout the property. Please note that due to our remote location, mobile phone and Internet reception in Big Sur can be inconsistent.

Each guestroom is equipped with a Sonos music system that can connect to your device via Bluetooth. Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device, then simply press and hold the Bluetooth button on the Sonos unit until it flashes.

As a welcome gift, you will find the refrigerator stocked with an array of complimentary beverages, treats, and fruit that is replenished daily. For your health and safety, each and every item in your mini-bar has been replaced and freshly stocked prior to your arrival. We encourage you to use the steel water bottles while on property and at home (our gift to you!), as we are committed to eliminating plastic bottles whenever possible.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are available from our in-room dining menus. Breakfast offers a full, cooked-to-order menu while lunch and snacks (including salads and sandwiches) are available until 9pm. Dinner can be ordered from the expanded Ranch Dinner menu or the All Day Dining menu. Please visit the In-Room Dining page for menus and information. When you’re done enjoying your selections, simply press the included device to have the basket removed from your room.

IN-ROOM DINING

Firewood is delivered to your guestroom once each day. Please be careful not to overfill your fireplace with firewood. If the fire begins to weaken, add only one (1) log at a time, and never place more than three (3) logs in the fireplace at a time to prevent smoke from filling the room. The fireplace glass door and handle get very hot, so avoid touching them directly with your hands. Instead, use both the fire door tool and cloth pot holder to open the door. Should you need more firewood, or help with your fireplace, please call us by pressing Reception on your guestroom phone. As a reminder, please do not leave the fire unattended.

Your bed sheets have been custom-made through an exclusive partnership with Matteo. Made locally in California, our Matteo sheets are 100% Egyptian cotton sateen and offer a thread count of 600. While most bed linens contain harsh chemicals and dye to prevent wrinkling and ensure a crisp white color, our linens are free of both, resulting in a more natural color. Additionally, the mattress on which you’re sleeping is made locally in Salinas from organic cotton with a French wool wrap and is completely chemical-free.​ The entire Post Ranch bedding package, including the mattress, linens and pillows, is available for purchase in the Mercantile.

To help you enjoy the perfect night’s rest, we offer a curated Pillow Menu featuring a variety of options tailored to your personal sleep preferences. Simply browse the menu, let us know which pillow you prefer, and the perfect pillow will be delivered to your room.

VIEW PILLOW MENU

Binoculars, walking sticks, and a lantern can be found in your room to help you enjoy and experience nature to its fullest. A mosquito zapper is also available in your room for any unwanted insects.

Irons, ironing boards, and steamers are available upon request. Please call us by pressing Reception on your guestroom phone.

Big Sur’s clear skies make it a perfect setting for stargazing. Pick up our latest star chart at Reception to help you identify stars, constellations, and celestial landmarks before you head out to explore the night sky. We offer newspapers during breakfast service at Sierra Mar. Please note that daily newspaper delivery to the Big Sur area may be delayed periodically. If you wish to have a newspaper delivered, please touch Reception on your guestroom phone.

For your convenience, in lieu of cash gratuities, a card is available in your room, allowing you to recognize superb guest service by including a gratuity. The program is optional and there is no obligation to participate. Should you wish to participate, kindly present this card to Reception upon your departure and the charge will be added to your final statement.

Please note: Gratuities for both our Food & Beverage and Spa staff are not included in this program. We encourage you to recognize these individuals at your discretion based upon the level of service they provide.
